Overview
Finding accurate data for SMBs and local businesses has traditionally been a major challenge in B2B prospecting. While large and mid-market companies are well covered by legacy data providers, tier 2 and tier 3 city companies often remain underrepresented.
To solve this, Bitscale offers Google Maps Search as a built-in data source, enabling you to discover and qualify SMBs directly from the most accurate public business dataset available.
When to Use
- You’re targeting SMBs, local stores, or small service providers.
- You want to prospect in specific cities or regions (e.g., Delhi, Austin, Manila).
- You need fresh, verified business information like phone numbers, ratings, and reviews.
- You’re building regional GTM campaigns or offline-to-online sales strategies.
Setting Up Google Maps Search
- Go to New Grid → Find Using Google Maps Search.
- Enter the following:
- Keyword / Business Type: e.g., “restaurants,” “marketing agencies,” “auto repair shops.”
- Location: The region, city, or area (e.g., New Delhi).
- Preview results before importing.
- Click Import to New Grid to create a company list.
- The first fetch retrieves 10 rows by default.
- Use Data Sources → Fetch More Rows to load up to the full list.
Data Captured
Each result includes:- Business Name
- Website URL (if available)
- Phone Number
- Location (address or city)
- Google Review Count
- Google Rating
Using the Data
- Qualify SMBs: Use reviews and ratings as intent or success indicators.
- Example: Businesses with >4.0 rating and >100 reviews likely have steady revenue.
- Find People: Use the Find People from Company enrichment to locate decision-makers.
- Enhance with BitAgent: Scrape websites for additional intent signals, e.g., “Check if this restaurant offers online ordering.”
- Run Outreach: Export to CRMs or push into your preferred outreach platforms.
Scoring Example
Signal | Description | Scoring Impact |
---|---|---|
⭐ Rating > 4.0 | Indicates customer satisfaction | High Intent |
💬 Reviews > 100 | Indicates footfall or customer volume | High Potential |
🌐 Has Website | Easier to enrich and reach out | Prioritize |
☎️ Phone Available | Ready for direct sales | High Readiness |
Best Practices
- Use keywords + locations that align closely with your ICP.
- Combine review and rating data for intent-based scoring.
- Once imported, layer AI enrichments or BitAgent research for deeper insights.
- Always cross-check industries to ensure local businesses fit your target audience.
